How does Khan Academy protect students under 13 years old?

We care deeply about the privacy of all our users. Especially when it comes to protecting our younger learners, we want to make sure that they, and their parents, can focus on learning without worrying about misuse of their information. Accordingly, Khan Academy goes beyond what is required of it by law to provide numerous extra precautions for our younger learners, including restricting accounts for learners under the age of 13 (“Restricted Users”) to automatically block them from being able to post or disclose personal information, enabling parental controls, and working with prominent industry groups who are focused on the protection of children online.
